BIO

Creating art  has been my life-long and most rewarding endeavor.  I have exhibited and received many awards for my work including several from the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery and “Manager’s Choice Award” from the San Diego County Fair.  In 2017 I received “First Place – Original Fashion Design” for the Recycled Art & Fashion Show in Temecula.  In 2018 I was accepted in the prestigious “50 to Watch” exhibition at The Studio Door in San Diego. Her passion for the human figure and face began when I took my first figure drawing class in high school.  My many sketch books are filled with humanity’s diversity, capturing its myriad guises and drama of fleeting moments and impressions in just a few lines.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Mainly my work is focused on acrylic paintings with or without collage but I love to create dimensional works from fabric, rusty objects, and other discarded items.  My work reflects who I am, optimistic, inquisitive and whimsical. A bit of fabric, thread and other found objects always find a place in my vibrant abstract art.
